Company
History

MAURER's strength today owes much to the company's tradition. The story begins in Munich in 1876 with Friedrich Maurer and continues today in Kazakhstan.

During the early stages of industrialization in Germany, the enterprise grew rapidly. Initially defined by metalwork casting, by the end of the 19th century the workshop had grown into a metal products factory. In 1925 the company relocated to its current site in the north of Munich.

In the 1930s, aircraft hangar structures brought Maurer wide recognition. From the 1960s onward the company found a new growth direction — specialization in bridge engineering. In 1996 MAURER launched its seismic protection division, which today is one of its core business areas.
